Well one thing is for sure, David Spade was right, this book was not that serious…this audiobook was hilarious! And it was not forgotten 15 minutes later. I knew of David Spade only from his role in Rules of Engagement where I thought he was hilarious. I saw this book on Audible, and when I saw Spade was the narrator…I had to try it. And I’m so glad I did! First off, I had no idea that he is the brother in law of Kate Spade! Or that he had been in so many different shows and movies. I only knew him from Rules of Engagement. Now, I definitely want to watch the shows and movies that he talked about in this book, especially Tommy Boy and SNL. I thought this book was hilarious and with him as the narrator….you will be laughing the entire time. I love how honest he is about himself and how he never tries to make himself seem better than he is. If anything, he should be giving himself more praise than he does! His stories are hilarious and his self-deprecating humor makes you laugh as well. I highly highly recommend this audiobook. Unless you get offended by cursing or some mild crude humor…..then definitely don’t listen to it. |
